3rd Level Presentation
Duration: 80 minutes*
For 3rd level students, the emphasis is on college life (and life in general), study and exams. To begin, Marc discusses what exactly fear is: How it impacts on our lives, some examples and the benefits of overcoming fear. He tells his own story about recovering from serious brain trauma, a process which took 2 years. Topics include: Mental health, managing stress, getting what you want, challenging yourself and improving your focus. The second half is all about audience participation. The audience are challenged to overcome some of the most common fears which we all face on a frequent basis. Although fear is a serious topic, there is plenty of humour to the talk. There is a powerful call-to-action including a plan designed to motivate and help the audience to face and overcome their fears. Follow up is encouraged. Audience members leave feeling invigorated and ready to take on the world. Importantly, they feel prepared to take on and overcome any challenges which have been holding them back, including work projects or study. |
